WAAN UK is very pleased to announce we are joining forces with Wharton Alumni Angels, Wharton's global affinity club for angel investing, to bring you a pan-European pitch event. Further, this event marks the official merger of WAAN UK and Wharton Alumni Angels, which will begin operating as a single organization. We will have 3-4 startups present to our members on the night. More details on the startups will be posted closer to the time of the event. Each startup will have 7 minutes to present themselves, followed by 7 minutes of Q&A.
Members of WAAN UK who are interested in further pursuing an investment will conduct coordinated due diligence through GUST. If you would like to review company material prior to the event itself, then you should also register as a WAAN UK member on GUST (please note that to have access to company information, you must self-certify that you are either an Accredited Investor or a High Net Worth individual - forms are located on the WAAN UK GUST page). We strongly recommend that you apply to GUST in advance of the pitch event itself - all post-pitch diligence will be completed through GUST, so if you are interested in investing, you must register!
Additionally, as part of the merger of WAAN UK into the global affinity club, Wharton Alumni Angels, all official members of WAAN UK (as of March 18th) will be granted a cost-neutral transfer of their membership to Wharton Alumni Angels and will have no further member dues for twelve months. Due to the nature of the WAAN network, all WAAN members must be members in good standing of their respective European clubs.
John Braze, President of Wharton Alumni Angels will address members just prior to kicking off with the pitches. He will give us a quick rundown on the benefits that Wharton Alumni Angels will bring to our members. Wharton Alumni Angels presently has over 300 members in 22 countries and invests in about 10 companies per year via their special purpose vehicles.
